The role of the Vice President is there to support the President to complete all of the actions that are needed to deliver a successful student group and the culture with in it.

The role of an events coordinator is plan, coordinate and deliver a range of events, or a large event for the groups members ensuring they are fun, safe and inclusive.

The role of a Marketing/Publicity Officer is to manage the social media and communication channels of the group ensuring that all opportunities and information are received by the groups members.

Journal Editors

The role of a group Journal Editor is the curate and manage the publication that a group is publishing, ensuring that it has been libel checked so there are no legal issues.

BUCS Captains

BUCS captains have to ensure that facilities are appropriate, the teams are set, your umpires or referees are booked and paid and that the relevant paperwork/scores have been completed for sports team fixtures.

Social Secretaries

Most clubs have a social secretary who plan, deliver and lead the social events of the club including regular wednesday events and club dinners. It is crucial they set the correct culture for their members so the events are all inclusive.

Wellbeing/Outreach Officers

Different groups have theses roles with slightly different functions but they focus around engaging students from an inclusive and diverse back ground, look after the welfare of members or do public outreach work with children. Each role has a sensitive nature to it.

The role of an external or sponsorship officer is to build relationships with external organisations for the benefit of the groups members whether that be to secure and uphold sponsorship or whether to up promote 3rd party opportunities for members that increase their student experience.

Charity & Fundraising Officers lead the way for charitable good within groups by facilitating fundraising for charities through charity events or planning and delivering events for members which raise funds.Role Profile

Campaign Coordinators

The role of a campaign coordinator is understand an issue through knowledge and data and then to tackle the issue through either: raising awareness of an issue, using activism to lobby for change, or to enact policy change to solve the problem.
