Introduction & Responsibilities

Managing risk and safety is an important part of running any club or society. Both LSESU staff members and its’ volunteers (you) have a legal responsibility and duty of care to ensure all activities are run safely, and in accordance with relevant legislation.

Club and society committee members must:

  • Ensure risk assessments are completed for all activities.
  • Report any accidents or injuries to LSESU.
  • Keep a record of and maintain club or society equipment or assets.
  • Collect, store and use data in line with the relevant legislation.
  • Ensure no defamatory or libellous comments are made by the group.
